As long as Kogi exists as a State, neither Ebira or Okun will ever be Governor without cooperation between Kogi Central and Kogi West, except we pray that another Igala man keeps dies like in the case of the very respected Prince of the Niger, Late H.E Sir Audu Abubakar. Well, even if anyone wish such, the goodness of the Lord won’t allow such death again. Amen.
- Did God killed Audu, no, best position: He knew Audu will die! could He God stop Audu from dying, yes He could if he wanted to. Did God want Okun (Faleke) who was his deputy then to be Governor. No. God did not, if he wanted no one could have being able to stop Okun/ Faleke from becoming a Governor then. No matter the plot.
- Since democracy came in 1992, Late H.E Alhaji Audu Abubakar an Igala man had been Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris an Igala man too and Idris Wada and Igala man too had been Governors, while Okun and Ebira watched from the observer seats for 18 years 7 months.
- All these years from 1992 and the return of Democracy in 1999 and till now, makes 18 years 7 months of democratic rule in Kogi State
i. H.E Abubakar Audu Governor Igala - KOGI EAST 23 Months Governor Jan 1992- Nov 1993 NRC First democratically elected governor ii. H.E Abubakar Audu Governor Igala - KOGI EAST 48 Months May 1 99- May '03 APP; ANPP Second democratically elected governor iii. H.E Ibrahim Idris Governor Igala - KOGI EAST 57 Months May :03 Feb '08 PDP Clarence Olafemi Acting Governor Okun- Kogi WEST 3 Months Feb. '08 April 08 PDP He assumed office after the removal of the governor, Ibrahim Idris and his deputy, Philip Salawu by Supreme Court. Clarence Olafemi was the Speaker Kogi State Assembly.iii. H.E Ibrahim Idris Governor Igala - KOGI EAST 48 Months April 08- Jan 2012 PDP iv. H.E Idris Wada Governor Igala -Kogi East 48 Months Jan 12- Jan 16 PDP v. H.E Yahaya BBell Governor Ebira- Kogi Central 96 Months Jan 16- Jan 24 APC vi. H.E Usman Ododo Governor Ebira- Kogi Central Jan '24- Incumbent APC - In all, three (3) months was for ACTING GOVERNOR by order of Supreme Court ordering a rerun, so we are dealing with Governor slot, we shall exclude the three months from our calculation.
- We are adding up all the months- 23+48+57+48+48+96+(as of today 10th November 2025) 23 which give a total of 343 months, summed to 28 Years 7 Months.
- In this Igala from Kogi West has spent 224 Months summed to 18 years 7 Months
- In this Ebira from Kogi Central has spent 119 Months summed to 9 years 9 Months
- Looking at this, Igala has being there for 18 years succeeding itself as 1st Governor, 2nd Governor and 3rd Governor, for five (5) different times while Central and Okun WATCHED! Why will anyone say Igala can not also watch others TAKE THEIR TURNS? Is a tribe superior to the other, the answer is absolute NO.
- Yes, Ebira is now running 9 years and still seeking to complete the incumbency’s remaining 27 months to make it 48 Months, and still agitating for a 2nd term to complete Sixteen (16) years, meaning Igala is still OWING TWO (2) YEARS SEVEN (7) MONTHS? Is Ebira’s quest to compete a 16 years tenure of four terms wrong compared to Igala’s 18 years 7 months? No its not wrong.
- Igala has now waited for only 9 years 9 months, do they have the right to complain? No they don’t because both Ebira of Kogi Central and Okun of Kogi West had waited 18 solid years and 7 months before and heaven did not fall?
- Okun is now waiting for the whooping 28 years 4 months and not comfortable with that. Is that right, No its not right considering the number of years thus far! but RIGHT considering how much longer it has to wait, which is just 6 years 3 months, compared to waiting forever when igala ruled and no hope of passing the baton to any other tribe, justified by Igala’s long reign.
b. NoteThe present reign by Ebira is a product of strong cooperation between Ebira of Kogi Central and Kogi West with the absolute support of BASSA that had being treated like the North Central of Nigeria by the core North, that takes things in the name of the entire North and then remove the Central, until June 12 expressed the power of the North Central and Tinubu is consolidating on it’s gain. - Is the agitation to TRUNCATE Ebira’s 16 years move now remaining 6 years 3 months right? It has FOUR (4) answers (a-d):
a. first (1ST) for the POWER GREEDY IGALA PERSONS YES, IT IS RIGHT, because it is an opportunity for them to 'COME BACK TO POWER and mean the BREAKDOWN OF COOPERATION between Kogi Central and Kogi West on POWER b. Second (2ND) for the GREAT IGALA MINDS NO IT IS WRONG, because it is an opportunity for DOMINANCE to CONTINUE, KILL THE 2023 BROTHERHOOD between their other TWO BROTHERS from CENTRAL and WEST and ENSURE that the AGREEMENT to ROTATE POWER to the WEST come 2031 FAILS and therefore, TRUNCATING THE IDEAL DESIRE OF POWER GOING ROUND Kogi State. To them, If not for the same EQUAL 18 years 7 months that igala had it, at least for the normal 16 years allowed DEMOCRATICALLY gifting Igala 2yrs 7 months.Note
🫵
To these class of wonderful and fair minded Igala people, the 16 years each quests for Central and then West are SACRIFICES by both WEST and CENTRAL to FORGIVE IGALA for its perpetuation for 18 years 7 months non stop DOMINANCE, as it is clear that, Igala will still make away with 2 YEARS 7 MONTNS unequalled term, as no provision for 2 years 7 months tenure but four years.c. Third, (3RD) for an UNSUSPECTING OKUN MAN, YES IT IS RIGHT, for he is INTERESTED in becoming GOVERNOR now, driven by the so LONG WAIT and ASSUMED NEED to take advantage of FALEKE'S influence under TINUBU'S PRESIDENCY, which if happens, WILL COLLAPSE THE COOPERATION between the WEST and CENTRAL, and of course riddled with the fear of Central would not Keep the deal! So So which deal will Central keep?Note
Let us agree that President Tinubu GCFR do all he can and succeeded in installing FALEKE in 2027 and DESTROYS the understanding between the CENTRAL and WEST, who will DO SAME IN 2031 for Faleke? when Tinubu won’t be there? Or you will say FALAKE WOULD HAVE BEING A GOVERNOR THEN? and I WILL ASK YOU, IS ODODO NOT A GOVERNOR NOW? Have we not seen INCUMBENT LOSING RETURN ELECTIONS?
Meaning the farthest this prayer for 2027 would have gone is JUST FOUR (4) YEARS OF OKUN AS GOVERNOR and EBIRA would have had TWELVE (12) years! after Governor
Ododo’s tenure! WHO WOULD BE THE LOSER, when *the greedy ones in Igala comes back to power now?
The same would be what happened in 2023, Ebira wanted to complete its 16 years if they lose to Igala, Igala wanted to come back at all cost to keep ruling, *SO THEY BOTH SACRIFICED OKUN!
Whatever, excuses giving by Igala for fielding MURI was not and will never be tenable, just like the one given by GYB to succeed himself with another CENTRAL man.
However, ONE OF THE SITUATIONS GAVE HOPE, while the other DID NOT, both has HAPPENED RIGHT IN OUR OWN VERY EYES.
i. Igala has denied
Okun Severally and
denied Ebira
severally.
ii. If Igala truly got
annoyed and fielded
Okun in 2023, we
would emerged
Governor, even if
we paraded 1m
Candidates.
iii. Ebira denied us
once in 2023.
iv. If Ebira has fielded
us Okun in 2023,
we would have
emerged
Governor too.So the situations we are talking about are not permutations and postulations as some are WRONGLY putting it now! They are events that had taking place and still playing out.
d. Fourth, (4TH) for
a CALCULATIVE
OKUN MAN, NO
IT IS WRONG,
for he is
INTERESTED in
becoming
GOVERNOR after
WAITING FOR
SO LONG AND
NOW HAVING A
SYSTEM THAT
HIS
ONCE CHEATED
BROTHER IS
A GOVERNOR
and his unwillingness
to lose the ,
COLLAPSE OF
THE
COOPERATION
between the WEST
and CENTRAL for
purely sustainability
purposes. He is not
ruled by enthusiasms
neither
overwhelmed
by assumed influence
but focused on
DATA FROM FACTS
and the REALITIES
that:
i. Neither West or
Central can be
Governor
WITHOUT EACH
OTHER
ii. Igala can be
Governor when
West and Central
FAILS TO COME
TOGETHER
directly or at
RERUNThe fact remains that, no TRIBE WONT WAIT AT ONE POINT or the OTHER, its simple LOGIC , when Igala was ruling, West and Central WAITED, now that CENTRAL is ruling? Is West and East not WAITING and when West will rule, East and Central will WAIT ! NO one will be RULING when KOGI IS NO LONGER EXISTING.
I am passionately appealing to the sensibilities of the West to see beyond 2027 for the sustainability of POWER ROTATION, which will also one day return to the EAST where the good people of BASSA and other collaborating UNITY LGAs can take their own TURN one after the other. Na turn by turn o o o
So, if after REVIEWING these facts and happenings , you still feel that an OKUN (West) man should throw out or kick out an EBIRA (Central) plus our ALLIES IN BASSA and others) to become the Governor in 2027 (which may and which may NOT and when the deal would have collapsed) then good luck sir and ma for preparing way for the power greedy Igala minds to return either after four (4).years of OKUN or even in 2027, as we have seen people supported by the POWER THAT BE LOSING, _we are all here together!
