In a statement issued by Emmanuel Abuh, the Confluence Queens Football Club has since began training ahead of the NWFL, which will officially kick off on November 26, 2025 and conclude on April 22, 2026.

Despite not winning the Sheroes Cup Preseason Tournament in Abuja, the Chairman expressed satisfaction with the players’ performance and urged them to strive for victory in the upcoming league.

“I am impressed but I still need more from you people. Despite that we did not come top at the Pre-Season tournament, I’m impressed with the performances of all the players. You know the league is getting closer which is on 26th of this month. Please don’t fear anybody. You people can make it to the top on the league,” he said.

He appreciated the efforts of the technical crew, the management staff and the players and assured them of government’s support at all times.

“Even me, as the Chairman, any match you win, I promise you people something, but I will not announce it here. Both home and away, we are solidly behind you people. And on behalf of my Commissioner, he told me that he travelled: ‘I will not be here today’, and I should also thank you people for your effort. He promised that the government is still behind you people and your welfare is his priority”, he added.
