Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the House of Representatives member for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency and chairman of the Continuous Voter Registration Committee, convened a stakeholders’ meeting today in Kogi Central Senatorial District.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Sanni warmly welcomed stakeholders from across the entire Kogi Central region. Following introductions, the meeting proceeded into a closed session that lasted several hours.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem expressed his appreciation to former Governor Yahaya Bello, commending his foresight and the developmental foundation he laid in Kogi State. He also praised Governor Ahmed Ododo for being a worthy successor and for the ongoing developmental progress across all sectors in the state.
The chairman further acknowledged the presence and commitment of commissioners and top government officials attending the meeting, appreciating their dedication to the progress of Kogi State.
Hon. Sanni outlined the core objectives of the committee and the strategies put in place to ensure a robust and successful voter registration exercise.
He stated, “We explained our goals and strategies to the stakeholders, welcomed their suggestions, and adopted the best resolutions. Implementation will follow immediately to ensure a large number of our citizens participate in the continuous voter registration.”
All commissioners, government officials, and community representatives unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to dedicating their resources toward ensuring a successful registration exercise.
The Ajaokuta Federal Lawmaker Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem also pledged to continue expanding these interactive sessions to include all stakeholders in Kogi Central, regardless of political affiliation, emphasizing that every citizen deserves active participation in democracy regardless of political divide.
