…admonishes APC Ward Chairmen, Ward Special Assistants to keep APC strong in Mopamuro
Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo has charged the Ododo Grassroots Assistants across Mopamuro to deepen sensitization of the people on government policies and programs, saying the Governor is “GYB’s best gift to Kogi State”.
He called on the grassroots assistants to lead the mobilization for support of Governor Ododo’s policies, insisting that Mopamuro is beginning to see the “landmark signature of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo”.
“Massive work is about to commence at the College of Education (Technical), Mopa. This is a demonstration of the commitment of the Governor to the development of Mopamuro Local Government and Kogi State as a whole whole. The Mopa Township Road is ongoing and we are expecting more good news in the educational sector in Mopamuro before the end of the year.
“I urge you all to propagate all these good works and also support the Governor and all officials of the Government at all levels”, he said.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Cultural Integration, Hon. Moses Sunday David thanked the Commissioner for appointing over 20 grassroots assistants across Mopamuro, saying the gesture is the first in the history of Mopamuro by any appointed official of government.
The Special Adviser to the Governor urged the Assistants to be dedicated to their duties and be loyal to the Governor as he is doing a marvelous job in Mopamuro and across the State.
The Coordinator of the Group, Hon. Dare Elega thanked the Commissioner for the initiative, calling on the Assistants to reciprocate the gesture by giving their full support to the Governor. He thanked the Commissioner for the prompt payment of the Assistants salaries which has also helped them to discharge their duties.
The meeting was attended by top government officials from the State and Local Governments.
In a related development, the Commissioner at a meeting with all the Ward Chairmen of the All Progressive Congress in Mopamuro, thankd them for their unflinching support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, saying the party should be proud of the Governor.
“As Party Chairmen, I am sure you are proud of what our Governor is doing. He is a star Governor who is serving with integrity and humility. Today, you can point to some things that the Governor has done in our Local Government Area. Let us continue to support him and Mr President as a party and they will take us to the promised land”, he said.
Responding on behalf of the Chairmen, the Ward 03 Party Chairman, Mr Ojo Folorunsho said all the Ward Chairmen are solidly behind the Governor for his laudable projects across all the sectors as well as his welfarist programs. He said that with the way the Governor is going, the opposition parties will find it hard to survive beyond 2026. He thanked the Information Commissioner for briefing them about all the giant strides of the Ododo Administration.
At a separate meeting, Fanwo charged all Ward Special Assistants to join others to mobilize massively for the Continuous Voter Registration, urging them to make sure Mopamuro turns in the numbers.
“As Ward Special Assistants, you are appointees of His Excellency. His message to you is to represent him well at your various Wards and the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration has presented another opportunity for you to prove your worth”, he said.
