The Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association, Kogi State Branch, has conferred its prestigious Award of Distinguished Excellence upon Rt. Hon. (Elder) Leke Joseph Abejide, a two-term serving federal lawmaker representing Yagba Federal Constituency.
The award ceremony, held on Saturday, recognized Abejide’s outstanding humanitarian services and legislative excellence, which have significantly impacted his constituency and contributions to national development, and polity.
As a Chairman of the House Committee on Customs and Excise, the lawmaker has demonstrated remarkable leadership prowess and dedication to public service.
According to Bashiru Abdul Mohammed, Special Adviser on Public Communications, Abejide’s worthy ambassadorial roles to the ABU Alumni Association over the years made him an ideal recipient of this award.
Mohammed described the recognition as timely and motivating, encouraging Abejide to continue his good works.
Abejide expressed gratitude to the organizing team and reaffirmed his determination to doing more for the country and his people.
