Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Upaja/Ichuwa Ward, Ajaokuta Local Government Area, have unanimously declared their support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the senatorial ambition of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, alongside the return of Rep member Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem.
The endorsement rally, held within the ward, witnessed a massive turnout of party faithful, political appointees, community stakeholders, and traditional rulers, all united in a resounding show of support for the APC leadership at both state and federal levels. Upaja/Ichuwa ward has been a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress since 2015 with a standing records of high margin for electoral victory.

Speaking at the event, a prominent stakeholder and former House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Lucky Michael, highlighted the key achievements that informed the endorsement. He noted that Ajaokuta Local Government Area has significantly benefited from both federal and state government interventions, citing the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) projects and the federal government’s approval of a Free Trade Zone in the area as clear indicators of progress.
He further commended former Governor Yahaya Bello for laying a solid developmental foundation for Kogi State, expressing confidence that his election to the Senate would attract even greater dividends of democracy to the people.

Hon. Lucky also applauded Governor Ahmed Ododo for sustaining and expanding on the achievements of the previous administration through innovative policies and people-oriented programs, noting that Ajaokuta remains a major beneficiary of these efforts.
In his remarks, he praised Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem for his inclusive leadership style and role in fostering unity among stakeholders in Ajaokuta. He attributed several developmental strides—such as the construction of the Eganyi–Ebiya road, the transformation of the Ajaokuta Local Government Secretariat into a modern edifice, and improvements in security and education—to the lawmaker’s collaboration with the state government.
“Appreciation is a catalyst for more progress. This endorsement is a recognition of performance. If we fail to support leaders who deliver, we risk discouraging further development,” Hon. Lucky concluded.
