Promise Emmanuel, popularly known as Kogi Rebel, is one young man who has genuinely built himself over the years through hard work, consistency, loyalty, and political and social intelligence. Whether you like him or not, one thing nobody can take away from him is the fact that he has remained relevant and active in the political space because of the value he brings.

In today’s politics where many people jump from one ideology to another just to stay relevant, Promise has remained firm in what he believes in and what he stands for. He is passionate, vocal, energetic, and never afraid to defend the ideals he believes will move Kogi forward. That is why many people see him as controversial, but the truth is that his “controversy” comes from his boldness, his ideology, and his refusal to stay silent when necessary conversations need to be had.

His mantra, “POSE” Promise, Oversight, Service, and Empowerment, clearly reflects the kind of leadership he wants to offer. It is beyond just a slogan. Anyone who has followed his journey can see that these are things he genuinely believes in. He understands that leadership is not only about occupying public office, but about being accountable to the people, rendering service, and creating opportunities for others.

From his days as Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor to his present role as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Promise Emmanuel has shown capacity and competence. Those who have worked closely with him can testify to his dedication, his ability to handle pressure, and the seriousness he brings to every assignment. Positions like these are not given to people who are unreliable. They require trust, intelligence, loyalty, and political maturity, and he has consistently proven himself worthy of that trust.

One thing that stands him out is his understanding of both government and the grassroots. He can comfortably relate with people at the top while still maintaining strong connection with ordinary people on the streets. That balance is important, especially at a time when many young people feel disconnected from leadership and governance.

Kogi State House of Assembly needs more young people who are not only youthful in age, but also mature in thinking, exposed in governance, and intellectually sound.

We need representatives who can speak confidently, defend the interests of the people, and contribute meaningfully to legislative discussions.

Promise Emmanuel has shown over time that he possesses these qualities.

He has paid his dues politically. He has grown through the ranks, learned the system, built relationships, and gathered experience within government.

He understands communication, governance, political strategy, and public engagement. These are qualities that cannot be ignored.

Beyond politics, Promise Emmanuel has also become a source of inspiration to many young people who see him as someone who rose through consistency and hard work. He represents the possibility that young people can participate actively in governance and still maintain their identity, ideology, and voice.

For me, supporting Promise Emmanuel is not just about supporting a friend or political associate. It is about supporting competence, courage, experience, and a young leader who has shown readiness for greater responsibility.

I strongly believe that if given the opportunity, he will represent well, speak well for the people, and justify the confidence placed in him.
