Leadership is governed by seasons. No office is permanent, no mandate is eternal, and no individual owns political power forever.
Democracy thrives when justice, fairness, and the will of the people prevail over personal ambition.
As Kogi State approaches the 2027 governorship election, one question demands an honest answer: Which senatorial district deserves the opportunity to produce the next governor in the interest of equity and justice? The answer is clear:
KOGI WEST LÓKÀN.
History reminds us that leadership changes, but society endures.
Late Prince Abubakar Audu did not return for a second term, and heaven did not fall.
Captain Idris Wada did not return for a second term, and heaven did not fall.
If Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo does not return for a second term, heaven will not fall either.
Democracy is bigger than any individual. Leadership is a trust, not a birthright. Political offices belong to the people, not to personalities.
Since the creation of Kogi State, every senatorial district has made invaluable contributions to its development.
While Kogi East and Kogi Central have occupied the governorship, Kogi West has continued to wait patiently for its own opportunity.
The call for Kogi West is therefore not a demand for privilege but a call for justice, inclusion, and balanced representation
A state cannot genuinely preach unity while one section continues to wait endlessly for its rightful turn.
Those who oppose the aspiration of Kogi West must answer a simple question: If not now, when?
If after more than three decades, Kogi West is still asked to wait, then the promise of fairness becomes meaningless.
Justice that is endlessly postponed eventually becomes injustice.
The strength of any democracy lies in giving every part of the federation a genuine sense of belonging.
Sustainable peace is built on equity, not political domination.
As 2027 approaches, Kogites have a historic opportunity to strengthen the bonds of unity by allowing justice to take its rightful course.
This is bigger than politics. It is about fairness. It is about equity. It is about preserving the moral foundation upon which lasting peace and unity are built.
Let history record that when the moment of justice arrived, Kogi people chose fairness over fear and inclusion over exclusion.

KOGI STATE MUST BE GREAT.
