Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Research, Hon. Zakari Yusuf Eneve (Nescafe) has announced his intention to contest the House of Assembly position on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
The governor’s aide made this known at a rally held in Abuga/Ozuja ward of Okene II constituency on Sunday.
He eulogized the outstanding leadership qualities of his principal, Gov. Yahaya Bello and acknowledged the supporting roles by the duo of the State Accountant-General, Alh. Jibril Momoh and Local Government Auditor-General, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Hon. Zakari, while recounting his years of grass root politics said, in 2007 he aspired for the same position but was asked to stepped down by his erstwhile political leaders. He appealed to party leaders, delegates, stakeholders and supporters to support his ambition and make it a reality.
He said, if elected, he will not only attract developments to his constituency, he will as well ensure good representation and place human capital developments a top priority.
Okene Local Government officials, ward councilors, party executives, elders, youths, and women groups attended the event.
