Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial aspirant for Kogi Central, Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Udaghan, has expressed confidence that she will emerge victorious in the party’s primaries and general elections.

Fielding questions from journalists after she was screened by the party in Lokoja on Wednesday, Natasha said she is prepared for the elections.

She said the vision for a better Kogi Central and Kogi state is getting stronger by the day.

The commended the Olorogun Jaro Egbo-led PDP screening committee for national assembly aspirants in Koig state for being thorough, adding that the process was interesting.

“I am eager for change and can’t wait for the election to come. I am very prepared for the elections.

“Definitely there will be obstacles in Kogi Central but I am optimistic, and confident of victory being on a stronger and more better platform,” she said.

Natasha expressed gratitude to women for their support and hoped for more women in the National Assembly “so that together we can pass the Gender bill to save our country.”

“My manifesto on social fairness, justice, equity, economic development with the Ajaokuta Steel being on the front burner.

“Industries will be revitalized. I am going to fight for the larger chunk of the budget for my people. Kogi State, and not only Kogi Central, will be the center of industrialization.”

She said leadership in Nigeria has suffered greatly because of the inefficient and incapable people that have occupied public positions.
