Introducing Chief Olorunsola Olayiwola Adedoyin (BSc, MPA, MIPMN)

Our great people of Kabba-Bunu / Ijumu Federal Constituency, we today introduce to you, a man with noble character, a dedicated party man with impeccable loyalty: Popularly known called and addressed as Sola Adedoyin, a strong lover of his community, seeking to offer himself for service as Member, Federal House of Representative, representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

Hon. (Chief) Olorunsola Olayiwola Adedoyin, a man with core strength in simplicity and humility was born in 1960 into the very noble family of Late Chief Olaleye Adedoyin, (The Oluwo of Ekinrin-Adde and Olumayowa of Ijumu land)

His father, an astute journalist who retired as an Editor with Daily Times, hailed from Ilufe clan of Ekinrin-Adde, while bbn his mother, Late Madam Mary Olayemi Adedoyin, who retired as a Senior Supervisor at Kingsway Stores, Lagos, was from Odokoko Ekinrin Adde.

Sola Adedoyin as simply called is a versatile and well-schooled administrator who holds both bachelor 1986 and Masters Degree in Public Administration 1990 from the prestigious University of Ilorin

As a certified Public Administrator, young and brilliant Sola at the age of 26, became a lecturer at the business department of the famous Kaduna Polytechnics before moving on to the presidency, as Political Education Officer, under the then, Directorate of Social Mobilization (MAMSER), where he worked between 1986-1990. His burning desire for political participation compelled him to move from MAMSER. The organization awarded him a letter of commendation and appreciation for his great feat at the directorate.

In 1991, the erudite and young Adedoyin veered into management consultancy services as he resumed work as Senior Management Consult with Technology Management Group Limited ( MGL) at Mafoluku, Lagos.

After a year with MGL, Adedoyin, in 1992, established his own consultancy firm, Pioneer Management Services Limited with office in Surulere Lagos.

Noticing his management prowess, Churchgate Group, which was then, the biggest Industrial Conglomerate in Nigeria, invited and hired him in 1996, as it Manager in-charge of personnel and administration till 1998. He left the conglomerate, when the urge for political participation was getting him overwhelmed.

Between 1998 he resigned and returned to his private firm, Pioneer Management Services Limited, relocated the office from Lagos to Abuja, where he equally established a sister company, Encoh Invested Limited under the same management, with him as Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer till date.

SOLA ADEDOYIN’S POLITICAL PARTICIPATION

From his days in school, Adedoyin has been an active player in progressive politics.

In 1981. Sola Adedoyin Contested and won as SPEAKER Federal School of Art and Science Victoria Island Lagos , Student Congress (1981 – 1983 Set)

In 1982, he contested and won election to become President, Political Science Students Association in University of Ilorin.

In 1983 he contested and won election into the Students Representative Council of the University of Ilorin.

In 1984 he contested and won election as President, Ekinrin-Adde Students Union.

In 1985, he contested and won election to become the National President, Kwara State Students Union at University of Ilorin

Also in 1985, he contested, won and became the President University of Ilorin Students Union Government.

He was also an executive member of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS)

In 1991, during the military transition of General Ibrahim Babangida, Sola Adedoyin left MAMSER to contest for Counsellorship in Surulere, Lagos and became the candidate of National Republican Convention (NRC).

Adedoyin in 2003 aspired to go to Kogi State House of Assembly, He had a great outing but the lot of his party’s ticket, in People’s Democratic Party (PDP) , fell into the hand of Hon. S.K. Adekunle based on party leadership decision.

Adedoyin been a loyal party member joined forces with Adekunle to deliver victory to his party.

Similar scenario happened in 2007 when he expressed interest in Federal House of Representative.

Adedoyin, a very loyal party person has remained with PDP since1999.

He is one of the very few members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that have remained with the party through the thick-and- the thin. He stays with PDP knowing fully well that his party rewards loyalty.

Adedoyin was Gov Wada’s Liaison Officer 2 to Ijumu local government 2012

He was a Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State, between 2014 and 2015.

On his plans for the development of Kabba-Bunu /Ijumu, he says it would be anchored on some cardinal areas of need.
They are security, education, healthcare, roads and infrastructure development, ecological and environmental interventions, as well as youth/women empowerment and agricultural development. Details to be released in his manifesto, which will be made public soon.

He describes his journey into politics as one driven by the desire to change the narrative and to provide an alternative voice for his people.

Sola Adedoyin is loaded with wealth of experience , the right choice and is very ready to serve.
