The house of representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Okene/Ogori-Magongo federal constituency, Hon. Sanni Salawu Ogembe, has promised to provide scholarships for students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions if elected.
Ogembe made the promise during an interactive session with Oyamine Political Network in Okene on Thursday.
He promised to invest heavily in the entrepreneurial potentials of the people.
The House of Reps hopeful noted that the people of the federal constituency are blessed with brilliant ideas and unmatched skills that can rival the best in the world.
“I Sanni Salawu Ogembe (SSO) wish to share with the good people of Okene/Ogori-Magongo federal constituency my agenda, during the campaign and after 2023 general elections. The 3 main them are education, empowerment and enlightenment.
“Abraham Lincoln once said, ‘education kills the disease of ignorance, superstition, fear and poverty’. Therefore, I will continue to provide scholarships at all levels – primary, secondary and tertiary – to support education.
“I will continue to empower people within our constituency across all ages, races and religions. Empowerment through skills acquisition, health programmes, business capital and others.
“I intend to expose the people of Okene/Ogori-Magongo to the various opportunities both within and outside Nigeria. With technology and innovation, we can optimize areas of agriculture, solid mineral, and trade.
“May God grant us the grace to emerge victorious. I remain humbly at your service,” he said.
