An aspirant contesting for the House of Representatives for Idah Federal Constituency under the People Democratic Party, PDP, Engr John Ibrahim Ocheje has assured of the implementation of a five points agenda for accelerated development of the area if elected.
Mr Ocheje who stated this while speaking to journalists in Lokoja said his decision was based on the neglects suffered by the area over the years.
He said his five points agenda include; appropriate and robust engagement with the people of Idah Federal Constituency consisting, Idah, Ofu, Igalamela-Odolu and Ibaji, transparency in constituency projects, development of the mineral resources in the area, making sure the major road linking Ibaji/Onitsha to Abuja is constructed and empowerment of youths, less privileged and women among others
The aspirant charged other politicians in the game to come up with agenda to empower the people and pull them out of poverty.
On the amended Electoral Act recently signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr John Ibrahim Ocheje described it as a welcome development and victory for democracy, calling on all in the political field to key into it to improve electoral system in the country.
