Last week was a defining moment of the life of Honorable Yakubu Oseni, a front line senatorial aspirant who made a tour of key areas and critical stake holders to formally declare his intentions to run for the Senate in the next democratic dispensation.
Even though the tour was not a full fledged engagement, yet, it was an extraordinary and unique one in the life of the rave of the moment Honorable Yakubu Oseni. As is normal for every aspirant, Honorable Yakubu used that opportunity of the tour to unveil and show his campaign promises and legislative agenda if he gets the mandate of the good people of Kogi Central.
He told this journalist who is his media coordinator that that visit that took him to Okehi, Adavi, Ogori-Magongo, Okene and Ajaokuta local government areas was just the first in his planned massive tour of the entire Kogi Central in the nearest weeks to come.
Honorable Yakubu Oseni has proved beyond every reasonable doubt that he is worthy and eminently qualified to be our next senator come 2019.
Yes, Honorable Yakubu Oseni’s pedigree and antecedents are a pointer that he is the best man for the job because he has no equal or any serious opponent as of today. He has a Bachelor Degree in Economics (Second Class Upper) from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Masters degree in Economics from the famous University of Abuja.
Honorable Yakubu Oseni who was born 1975 has since carved a niche for himself as a successful seasoned Banker with First Bank Nigeria Plc and subsequently as pioneer of Kogi State Internal Revenue Services where he is doing a Yo-man’s job since his assumption of office in 2016.
It will be recalled that the Internal Revenue Services under his watch was able to grow the hitherto monthly IGR of a paltry 250million naira monthly to over 1billion naira monthly as at today. As a chairman of that revenue service he has been able with the full support of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello to recruit and train over 500 graduates all from Kogi State cutting across the three senatorial district.
Last words, Yakubu Oseni is good to go as our next senator because he is idea driven and service oriented politician.
