2019: Olamaboro Elders, PDP Stakeholders Pledge Support for Aidoko

Elders and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders from Okpo, Imane, Ogugu, Ofante, Iga and other adjoining areas of Olamaboro local government have expressed continuous support for senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali.
A statement jointly signed by the leaders of the group; Okoloko Mike, a former council leader; Zekeri Ohiemi, former member Kogi State House of Assembly and Director General, Aidoko Ali Campaign Organization;  Alfa Yahaya, Ukpe Odiniya, Assembly Aspirant from Ogugu; Comfort Onoja, and Ahmed Sardauna, the group of elders saluted Aidoko’s courage for his steadfastness in the face of needless litigation.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr S. S. Attah from Imane Ward commended the senator for his doggedness and giant strides in the Senate, describing him as a good ambassador of the people of Olamaboro, Kogi East and the state at large.
He said although the senator may not be unaware of the prayers of the people of the area and his supporters, they have been presenting his case before God. He stated that the continuous speculations of his removal from the Senate was just a mere rumour that will not stand the test of time.
He said Aidoko remains the rallying point of the people of Kogi East.
In his contributions, Alhaji Abdul Uloko commended the senator for his efforts to develop Kogi East and prayed for the continuous protection of the senator and his representation at the senate.
House of Representatives aspirant, Sunny Oko expressed dismay over the ‘pull him down’ attitude of some politicians of Igala extraction. He said the senator remains the rallying point for the zone and assured him of more support in all his political endeavors.
Mr Dennis Itodo urged the supporters of senator Aidoko to drop personal interests and other differences no matter whose ox is gored, stating that efforts should be geared towards returning the senator back to the next senate.
They described the current Kogi East senator as a grass root democrat, a politician and peoples’ choice who has contributed a lot to the development of the area, Kogi East and Nigeria in general.
Also speaking, a woman leader and strong supporter of Senator Aidoko, Mrs Juliana Eje pleaded with the people of Olamaboro to sheathe their swords and show more support to the senator as he remained a leading light in the zone.
Ambassador Basanta Okpanachi assured the senator of unalloyed support of the party executives and the entire Olamaboro delegates of the council for the senator in the next election, promising him a landslide victory.
Zekeri Ohiemi, a former member of the State House of Assembly noted that Aidoko is a true leader of the community and the entire Igala land.
Responding, Senator Aidoko said he is overwhelmed by all their support. He assured them their support and sacrifice has not gone unnoticed.
He promised to continue to carry them along in all areas that will be beneficial to the local community, local government and the entire Kogi East.
Senator Aidoko reassured all the members of the community, the political class and the entire Kogi East of his efforts to continue to render the services needed by the people of the local government and in the overall interest of Kogi East.
He apologized to the people of Olamaboro over some political misgivings about him and his political aspirations, promising to show more concern to the people in the area of social and economic development.
He assured the people that he will continue to champion the liberation of the people of Olamaboro local government, started by him some years ago, saying he will remain committed to the good of the people of Olamaboro and his ambition.
He assured the people that he will continue to resist any gang up against the people of the area in all spheres, promising to run for the race in the next senate not minding the gimmicks by the political class and some detractors.
Senator Aidoko reassured the people of Olamaboro and Kogi East that he will not be threatened by any contestant for the senate.
He told the gathering that he remain the only candidate gunning to return to the senate as a ranking senator with the potentials of emerging as a leader of the red chamber, promising to support the opinion and support of the people towards his ambition.
Aidoko promised to wade into the issue of multiple aspirants gunning for various elective offices with a view to streamlining the process to ensure healthy competition among the various contestants, adding that the situation is a good development.
