Former member, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni has declared his intention to contest 2019 House of Representatives election.
Oni, popular known as Chop Chop, made his intention known during a meeting with leaders of Kabba-Bunu chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He told the gathering that he is the “best man for the job” and appealed to the party executives to support his aspiration.
Oni, who has aspired for the House of Representatives seat on three different election periods, explained that the legislative experience he garnered during his eventful stint in the State Assembly has equipped him for the task of representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency in the green chamber.
He recounted his achievements while he held sway in the State Assembly.
“I offered several empowerment initiatives for the less privileged by providing sewing machines and also bought motor bikes for them. I used my connections with the then state government to facilitate the Kogi State College of Education (Technical) at Okedayo Kabba among other projects,” he said.
He promised not to disappoint the people if given the support to get to the green chambers.
Kogi State APC Youth Leader, Ayo Emmanuel Kabba/Bunu, local government and ward executives were present at the meeting.
The party leaders pledged to support and mobilize electorates to give Oni victory at the polls.
