The chairman of ALGON, Kogi state chapter, Alhaji Taufiq Isa says the sitting President Muhammadu Buhari will defeat former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar in Kogi state and across the country in 2019.
Alhaji Taufiq, who said this in his hometown in Odokoro-Gbede, Ijumu local government area of Kogi state, said that Atiku’s decision to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has further worsened his electoral chances.
“The major battle in front of Atiku is not that of APC but how he will scale the hurdle of his new party’s presidential primaries. We are all aware of the impunity and imposition of PDP’s past administration, I hope this is not going to be the final fall and degradation of Atiku Abubakar in 2019,” he said.
According to him, President Buhari is busy making efforts to salvage the monumental damages done to the country by the PDP in the 16 years.
“We are aware that Atiku is known for jumping from one party to the other and he is already confused. He will be disappointed that none of his so-called supporters would remember he exist politically,” he added.
