2018 Int’l Youth Day: Gov. Bello’s Cabinet is Youthful and Useful – Abel Julius

As today, 12th of August mark the 2018 celebration of International Youth Day all over the world, one of the youngest aspirants seeking to represent Mopamuro State Constituency in Kogi 7th Assembly, Abel Julius Olushola has charged Kogi youths who are yet to key into the vision of a better Kogi State as envisaged by Governor Yahaya Bello to do so in order to derive a more encompassing bright future for the State.
Abel said this as part of his goodwill message for Kogi Youths in a statement released to the public on Sunday in commemoration of 2018 International Youth Day.
While making reference to the earlier message by Gov. Bello which states, ‘I am committed to creating safe spaces for young people to express themselves’, Abel said the New Direction administration has done exceptionally good for youths in all ramifications, adding to the fact that the Governor is an active youth himself, he has deem it fit to appoint competent young people to serve the State in different portfolios under his leadership.
Abel noted that Kogi government has also carried out a number of sensitization and informative seminars for the youths over the years, apart from various empowerment via workshops and training, channeled at building their human capacity towards a better economy and peaceful society.
“Even though more still need to be done, the fair share youths are having in this adminstration is the best in the history of Kogi State and it has boosted their confidence in leadership and governance”, Abel said.
He also called on the need for the youths to rally round the Governor in the business of laying a new foundation for the State as they are of same youthful constituency, that it is only a courageous youth that can dare the reforms Governor Yahaya Bello is putting Kogi through.
He said youths must understand that the future of the Nation depends on them and advised them to take advantage of human capacity building and other opportunities as created by the incumbent administration under the peculiar leadership of Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Empowerment Sports and Students Affairs, and the proactive Chief of Staff to the Governor; Bashorun M.D. Eseyin and Hon. Edward Onoja respectively.
