The Kogi State governor, Idris Wada, has assured members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state that there will be no anointed candidate for elective offices come 2015.

He said the party was determined to ensure that its candidates were elected through a normal electoral process.

He, however, urged leaders of the party in the state to work out modalities for consensus arrangement.

Speaking to party supporters during the thank-you-visit to Idah Local Government Area of the state, at the weekend, Wada explained that the elders should work towards adoption of consensus candidates.

The governor, however, noted that where consensus arrangement could not be arrived at, the test of popularity would prevail.

The governor assured a level playing field for all the aspirants.
