2015 Gov Race: APC Admits Pressure on Audu to Contest

The Kogi State Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Isah Daniel has admitted that there are intense pressures being mounted on the former governor of the state, Prince Abubakar Audu to contest the next governorship election in the state.

He believes that even though the former governor has not yet made up his mind, “he knows that with his antecedents he would love to contest.”

“Based on Prince Audu’s antecedence, there is the dire need for him to return to complete what he started.

He assured that APC administration at various levels would fast-track development and stabilize the country.

Hon. Daniel who made this known in a chat with our correspondent in Anyigba, said that Nigerians are desirous of change, which APC stands for.

The Vice Chairman who is also the Kogi East leader of the party, said the current defection of PDP members to his party has made the opposition stronger.

He added that his party is putting its house in order so as to win the next Kogi governorship election.

On the rumour of Prince Abubakar Audu’s plan to contest the next governorship election, Hon Daniel said the former governor has not declared his intention, adding that many stakeholders are already putting pressure on him to join the race.

He also assured APC members in the state of a level playing ground in the next primary election of the party, stressing that the party will win elections at all levels in 2015.
