Obadofin said past PDP-led administrations in the state had failed the people, adding that the APC was the hope of the masses.

The gubernatorial aspirant, who described Kogi as a ‘failed state’, said the expectations of the people when the state was created 23 years ago had not been met.

His words: “Since the creation of Kogi State 23 years ago, the management of the state have been in wrong hands, except in few cases when a well-tested administrator was in charge. I can say conveniently that Kogi is a failed state because our collective aspirations as a people have been dashed by this set of value-free leaders who only succeeded more in impoverishing our people.

“But this is the time to rise up and say no to these scavengers; we must rescue our people from this despicable situation, and only APC has the capacity to do this,” he said

He lamented that, 23 years after creation of the state, all the indices of development were not found in Kogi State when compared with other states created at the same time with the state.

“As a matter of fact, Kogi is a failed state and what we have today is that there is no governance in the state. All the indices to show that we have governance are not there. We have no governance in Kogi; what that means is that nothing is happening,” he stated.

The governorship aspirant, who also decried the poor state of infrastructure, particularly roads, said the roads were not motorable. He said nothing was working in the state.
