OPEN LETTER TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO.

Your Excellency,

Executive Governor of Kogi State,

Lugard House,

Lokoja,

Kogi State.

Your Excellency, Permit me to express our unreserved felicitations through this open letter as I write on behalf of the Kogi State Students of the Nigerian Law School, of the November 2014/2015 set. We congratulate you on your swearing in as the Executive Governor of Kogi state. We pray for the Wisdom to direct the affairs of the state at this moment where excellent leadership is crucially needed.

Permit us to quickly draw your attention to the unpaid bursary for the November 2014/2015 batch of the Law school students. The session commenced in November 2014 and ended October 2015.

We have attempted several efforts through representatives from all the six campuses of the Nigerian Law School to ensure that the said money is paid, but which has not yielded any result yet causing the students some amount of hardship through their stay on campus and for the Call to bar. Some still indebted in one way or the other.

We sincerely plead with Your Excellency to come to our aid by ordering speedy payment of the bursary to ease our plight in starting out as Legal practitioners. It would help a lot in contributing to vibrancy of these young Lawyers from the state and assist those not yet called to the bar in preparing for same.

We want to state clearly that this open letter is not to ridicule any administration; it is borne out of concern to have our plight heard through this platform.

Your Excellency sir, we shall be expecting the intervention of your good self and your good office to help salvage the situation.

Thank you sir in anticipation of your intervention and quick response. Long live the state of Kogi. Long live your Excellency.
