The lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has procured six trucks of rice to be distributed to her constituents for the yuletide.
The trucks of rice will be distributed across the five local government areas of the senatorial district.
She will also distribute 10,000 wrappers, 20,000 notebooks and 5,000 school bags.
She emphasised the significance of distributing the rice to households across the district, enabling everyone to celebrate the festive season with their families
“While the rice is currently being distributed, the wrappers, notebooks and school bags will be given out when I visit home in a few days.
“While home next week, I shall commission our 6 constituency offices: 2 in Ajaokuta – 1 in Adogo and 1 in Ganaja, 1 in Adavi, 1 in Ogori-Magongo, 1 in Okene and 1 in Okehi.
“I shall also commission our streetlights that have greatly illuminated our dark roads,” she said.
The lawmaker reaffirmed her position as a senator to all Kogi Central residents regardless of their political affiliations.
Beneficiaries of this charity outreach include widows, underprivileged, amongst others.
The essence of this gesture is to allow the constituents partake in the joyous celebrations of this season.
