Kogi State government has sought collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment, NDE, in a bid to positively empower her teeming unemployed youth.
The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Youth Empowerment, Sports and Student Affairs, Comrade MD Eseyin was at the Lokoja office of NDE to seek for collaboration on ways to assist and empower Kogi youths.
Eseyin, who expressed the passionate desire of the current administration to reduce the level of unemployment in the state with emphasis on youth empowerment, stated that he is keen identifying and working on programs that would ensure that reasonable numbers of youths are taken off the street in line with the “New Direction” mandate of the Yahaya Bello-led government.
In his remarks, the Kogi State Coordinator of NDE, represented by a Director, Pastor Fagbemi, He told Pastor Fagbemi, told the Special Adviser that the NDE have been looking forward to working and collaborating with the Kogi State government to empower the youths with different skills.
He explained that NDE offers both graduate and non-graduate skill programs that can benefit Kogi youth.
He stressed the need to for coordinated technical agricultural education and said it is the quickest way to mop up unemployed youths off the street.
