When a man is meaningfully engaged productively, he rarely avails himself for unproductive engagement because the thoughts of constituting unhealthy public nuisance is borne out of idleness.
You will all agree with me when one is gainfully empowered through skill acquisition programs like this amongst other forms of empowerment typologies, the expectations of applaudable results and its achievements will never be farfetched.
Empowering youths through Skills acquisition initiative remains one of the best empowerment strategies. This is because it embraces passion, talents and the innate zeal to come out with the best innovative ideas from those to be empowered.
The best and most secured jobs to encourage at any point in time is the self created jobs. That an individual is empowered through skill acquisition, it therefore means that such an individual has been handed over the necessary weapons to conquer the war of unemployment which usually lead to “almost impossible to curb crimes” within and outside our human exiting society.
The world is seriously getting over crowded with the alarming increase in population of youths as graduates who desires to have great and promising future with the hope of handpicking already made jobs and in situations where such hope doesn’t favour them as anticipated, they become vulnerable simply because they have no opportunity to get themselves empowered through skills acquisition when they actually had the Opportunity of accessing such programs.
No amount of job security can withstand the inherent security that accompanies the ones enshrined in skills acquisition as a form of empowerment.
When earnestly attained, it becomes what will always dwell with those who have exercised patience to attain the skills necessary to be empowered with. It has no expiry date neither does it come with unsecured benefits.
As part of measures to curbing unemployment as a social phenomenal, it is advantageously advised that people should be encouraged to be empowered with skills that will enable them combat hunger which will also mould them to be independent individuals and employers of labour.
Having succinctly purged out the values attached to skills acquisition as a wonderful typology of empowerment, I will enjoin potential beneficiaries of this initiative to hold dearly and guide jealously every bit of advice and teaching cum orientations they get at the course of undergoing this program.
It is with confidence that I want to assure you all that the Kogi State government under the leadership of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, is very much ready and open-handed to embrace and encourage every bit of efforts made by youths to venture into self employment opportunities by creating enable environments and availing necessary resources capable of establishing applaudable foundations upon which youths can be encouraged to excel in their paths of empowerment programs aimed at getting them become independent individuals and employers of labour; helping to reduce the rate of unemployment and other social vices capable of holding the state to pitiable ransoms.
The New Direction government will never be tired to cementing harmonious relationship between youths and youth empowerment programs provided such programs are meant to helping every beneficiary attain a meaningful and productive life at the end of such programs.
You all are encouraged to feel free to access this government because the government is ever ready to extend her arms of partnership to anyone who sees creative and innovative ideas that will help lead the state to our desired point of growth and development which can be summarized to mean the progress of the state.
