A socio-cultural association, Ojuju Agbadufu Igala Forum, has condemned a purported meeting of Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA) which is claimed to have been held against the directive of the Ata’gala.

The association described those who attended the “illegal meeting” convened by the Sadiq Amodu Abukakr-led defunct executives as dissidents.

In a statement signed on Saturday by the President of Council, Christopher Ukwenya and Clerk of Council Maji Isah, both averred that Ojuju Agbadufu Igala Forum, which is an important stakeholder in ICDA, was not aware of the meeting, neither did it participate in any purported meeting to challenge the authority of the Ata gala as the cultural leader of the Igala people.

The statement noted that the Ojuju Agbadufu Igala Forum recognized the Caretaker Committee set up by the Ata’gala under the leadership of Surgeon Commodore Ahmed Abdullahi rtd, and called on the committee to justify their appointment to reposition ICDA.

“Ojuju Agbadufu Igala Forum pledges support to the Electoral Committee set up by the Ata’gala to conduct election into the offices of ICDA,” the statement added.
