Elders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, yesterday, alleged that Governor Yahaya Bello has relegated the winning APC party in the state to opposition.
According to the stakeholders in their  communique of the elders/stakeholders meeting held in Abuja, signed by notable leaders in the state like Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane, Senator Saliu Ohize and Chief Dare Olatunde as Secretary, “The anti-party activities of Alhaji Yahaya Bello before, during and after the November 21 2015 gubernatorial election, which has currently turn a winning APC party to a position of an Opposition party in  the state is worrisome.”
‎”We equally view with concern the leadership style of  Governor Yahaya Bello which has alienated the Party (APC) and propped up the members of the suppose opposition PDP in running the affairs of Kogi state,” the communique added.
While emphasizing the sanctity of the November 21 2015 gubernatorial election and calling on the relevant authorities to give effect to the WILL of the people as demonstrated in the election, the stakeholders in the communique urged the National Leadership of the APC, to as a matter of urgency, take steps to correct the injustices of all kinds occasioned by the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the Governor of Kogi State.
The stakeholders however endorsed the action of the Kogi state APC executives in relation to the Vote of No Confidence passed on Governor Yahaya Bello.
Similarly, the stakeholders have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to call the Attorney General, Abubakar Malami SAN, to order ‎so he can stop meddling into the affairs of Kogi state with personal interest and should be more professional in the performance of his duties.
“The Problem he (Malami) created for Kogi State is still lingering. We also disapprove of his recent advice‎ to Inspector General of Police to disregard the taking over the function of the Kogi State House of Assembly by the National Assembly, because we see this as an affront to the rule of law and constitution, as could set the legislator and executive on the part of needless conflict.
The Communique is hereby attached:
