The Administrator of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has joined party members and the good people of Kogi State to celebrate the nomination of Chief Edward David Onoja as the running mate to Gov. Yahaya Bello in the November 16 governorship elections in the state.
Edward Onoja is a detribalised politician, a committed and trusted ally of Gov. Yahaya Bello, a bridge builder, a fearless warrior and a dogged fighter who takes bullets for his boss.
The Council Administrator, in a statement, described Edward Onoja as a lover of societal developments, a political strategist, a compassionate leader whose ideas have contributed in no small measures to the successes of the new direction government under the pragmatic leadership of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
“The jubilations that greeted the announcement of Chief Edward Onoja across the length and breadth of the confluence state was an indication that, indeed he is loved by all irrespective of ethnic and religious differences.
“Onoja’s loyalty, capacity and visionary leadership have immensely contributed to the over all developments witnessed in Kogi East which were evasive hitherto to the divine installation of the new direction government three years ago. The youths have never had it so good, the women are happy with him and the traditional rulers have all acknowledged his immense contributions to her development and recognition. The entire Igala Kingdom and indeed Kogites have found the needed leadership in you, and of course you remain a ray of hope to the young generations,” he said.
He assured Onoja of his total support and loyalty.
