Yomi Awoniyi, Kogi State Deputy Governor who was on a 12 day Christmas holiday to London has returned home.
The Deputy Governor had to cut short his trip following the auto crash involving the State Governor Capt Idris Wada.
The accident which happened at Emiworo, along Ajaokuta Lokoja road resulted in the death of the Governor’s ADC, Ibrahim Idris, an indigene of Zaria, Kaduna State.
The Governor was involved in the accident while returning from the annual Igala Educational Summit held at the Kogi State University Anyigba, is presently recuperating at a private hospital in Abuja after an initial surgery.
Awoniyi, who returned to the country at about 3.00pm yesterday headed straight to see his boss at the Hospital, was full of praises to God for spearing his life.
He described Governor Wada’s rate of recovery as perfect and speedily. He reported that the State Governor is in high spirit appealed to the people to be calm as the ship of state geared towards the transformation agenda of Capt Idris Wada’s administration is steadily on course.
