The above headline is taken from the biography of my principal, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, I am writing to honor him for his greatness, visionary and purposeful leadership qualities I have noticed in him since I first met him in 2015 in the course of my duty.
When searching for a role model in leadership, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is one man that fits the bill. As at today, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is the most gifted, innovative, resourceful, accessible, vocal, eloquent, vibrant, dynamic and pragmatic among the candidates vying for Senate in the entire central district of Kogi State.
As a journalist of international repute, I wouldn’t have staked my hard-earned reputation campaigning for Alhaji Yakubu Oseni if he’s not worthy of representing the good people of Kogi central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
At this juncture, I want to put it on record that I am widely traveled and had visited such countries as Togo, the Gambia, Senegal, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Benin Republic, the United Kingdom, United States of America and many others in the course of my duty as the public relations officer of the Nigerian Ports Authority where I worked for good twenty years before retiring voluntarily in the year 2007 to pick an appointment as the press secretary to her Excellency, the wife of the deputy governor of Kogi State, Dr. Philips Salawu, a man of peace and visionary leadership qualities.
Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is imbued with purposeful leadership qualities to represent Kogi central at the Senate. I wish to enjoin Kogi Central electorate to support the vision and aspiration of this pragmatic leader.
In the word of Nelson Mandela, a man with a good heart and good mind is a formidable combination. Alhaji Oseni is one candidate that fits this leadership description by the legendary Nelson Mandela.
Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is properly groomed to occupy a seat at the National Assembly as a senator, I am assured and highly convinced that he will not disappoint the good people of Kogi central if elected.
On several occasions, he had given his words that he would not disappoint. To me and many other supporters, queuing behind Alhaji Oseni is a task that must be done. He promised to be magnanimous in victory so that Kogi central can be great again. Alhaji Oseni has all it takes to turn Kogi central to a place of pride in our journey through political history.
