As the Nation awaits INEC lift of the ban on open campaign and rallies, the APC candidate in the forthcoming senatorial election in Kogi central, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, has assured that his campaigns and mega rallies would be issues based and peaceful respectively.
Armed with a four-point manifesto, his confidence and hope are positive and like a knife piercing through butter. Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is the only candidate that has an army of supporters and foot soldiers that cut across the five local government of Kogi central.
His manifesto is woven around the provision of access to potable water, women empowerment and youths development, educational development, and job creation/employment.
He told this journalist in an exclusive interview that his supporters would be orderly, peaceful before, during and after the election because they are all responsible citizens and good Ambassadors of Ebira nation. It could be recalled that this is the first time a senatorial candidate from Kogi central would enter an election with a clear-cut manifesto and mission statement that would signpost his legislative duties as a Senator.
Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is one candidate with a difference as he had won several academic awards and laurels for his philanthropic activities over the years in Kogi Central and beyond. The youthful politician has his first degree in Economics from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, his master’s degree from Abuja University and his Ph.D. in view.
Alhaji Oseni is the most credible, matured, vocal, vibrant, accessible, dynamic, innovative, resourceful and pragmatic of the three major candidates going into the election in February 2019. His other two opponents are Barr Hadiza Natasha Akpoti of the SDP and Senator Ahmed Ogembe of the PDP. Alhaji Yakubu Oseni is a member of ANAN and several other professional bodies. He was born on the 15th day of May 1975 in Adavi local government areas of Kogi State He is a public officer, tax administrator and social reformer.
