Our heart rejoices with Governor Yahaya Bello, the fourth executive governor of Kogi state, through his political lieutenant, the leader of political appointees from Kogi central, Engr (Dr) Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, the Special Adviser on local government and chieftain affairs over the fact that he finally reviewed the grading of Chiefs in Kogi State.
The elevation of His Royal Highness, Alh. Haruna Onotu by upgrade of the traditional chieftaincy stool of Ozumi of Okene in Ogu/Okene local government area of Kogi State to a First Class status is a welcome development.
Let us preface our comments with an obvious observation that our Governor deserves commendation for his courage. The exercise is a landmark revolutionary step towards finally resolving a sore issue among the peoples of Kogi State.
On behalf of Eziogu Progressive Minds and Eziogu Youths, we thank his Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello and his lieutenant in charge of Ministry for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Abubakar Ohere who made it possible.
By infinite grace of God, the plan is on for appreciation visit to His Excellency through Engr. Abubakar Ohere by the National Association of Eziogu, it will come alive as soon as there is green light.
