The media office of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) House of Representatives candidate for Yagba federal constituency, Leke Abejide, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of playing petty politics.
In a statement issued in Isanlu on Saturday, the media office said APC’s political merchandise has not been in favor of the Yagba masses.
The statement signed by the chairman of the campaign council, Abel Olushola, said APC lacked locus standi to challenge Abejide’s performance as the lawmaker representing Yagba federal constituency.
He noted that the overwhelming performance of Elder Leke Abejide has been the headache and nightmare of Yagba APC.
“These set of politicians in Yagba Federal Constituency and the APC have lost face value since Abejide’s emergence as House of Representatives member in 209.
“Abejide has exposed how they have fed fat on the people’s collective patrimony by his unprecedented performance.
“It is Abejide that is intervening for Yagba people concerning the shackles of retrogression and underdevelopment that the Yagba APC and other politicians neglected her for.
“Yagba APC lacks the locus standi to question, advise or challenge Abejide,” he said.
The media office said it is evident that over 90% of the developmental presence in Yagba federal constituency in the last four years are either sponsored or facilitated by Leke Abejide.
“Yagba APC should bring their score card forward before shamelessly asking Abejide questions.
“Abejide’s constituency briefing and accountability is manifesting on Yagba soil and in her people.”
