Political leaders across Yagba East Local Government have decided to put their differences behind them and unite over issues affecting the local government, the state and the fortune of the government of the day.
This was made known at a meeting between the Chief Administrator of Yagba East Local Government Council, Hon. Abdulrasaq Asiru Ijagbemi and former political office holders in the area.
According to a press release signed by Stephen Adewumi, the Senior Special Assistant on Electronic Media to the Administrator, the ex-political officer holders were drawn from different political parties.
While addressing the ex-political office holders, Asiru emphasized the need to shun issues that can create division.
The leader hailed Asiru for promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among the parties and assured him of their continuous support and cooperation. The pledged to offer the council chief good ideas and workable thoughtful advice that could usher in lasting developments in the land.
