Workers’ Day: Awoniyi Commends Kogi Workers

The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi has felicitated with Nigerian workers on this year’s workers day celebration.

Awoniyi in a message, particularly commended the Kogi State workers for their positive contributions to making the transformation agenda of Gov. Idris Wada a success.

The Deputy Governor acknowledged the sacrifices made by the state workers, appealed for their continuous support to enable the present administration of Capt Idris Wada deliver on its promises to the people.

Awoniyi lauded the invaluable contributions of Kogi State workers, appealed for their understanding amidst lean financial resources, urged them to ensure the spirit of dialogue in always seeking solutions to labour related issues.

Awoniyi described the relationship existing between the labour/workers and the government as cordial in the past years, and solicited a sustained cooperation.

He assured that more progress and development will be achieved when their exist a harmonious working environment existing between labour and the government, assured that the present administration is committed to improving the welfare of workers within available resources.

While acknowledging that the state workers have served as veritable platform and engine room for the success of the present administration in the state, Awoniyi described Capt Wada as a worker friendly governor who has the interest of the workers at heart, solicited their support and cooperation for the present administration in the years ahead.
