When West Kogites voted Adeyemi in 2007, he didn’t get the message that the people desired positive change. When he was reelected in 2011 despite his abysmal performance, he didn’t understand that the people merely resisted Gov. Ibrahim Idris who was exhibiting despotic tendencies.

In 2015, Sen. Adeyemi and his acolytes got the message that the people have seen through his deceit. He couldn’t secure a University for Okunland due to arrogance and ego trip as he was at loggerheads with the Governor at that time. He also bequeathed decayed infrastructure despite his famed closeness to the seat of power.

That futile third term bid has left Kogi West in a political quandary.

The people’s collective aspirations are being trifled with by a man desperate to resuscitate a moribund political and economic life.

He has schemed his way to the hearts of political neophytes who can’t differentiate between appointment and election.

Endorsements and anointments have taken over the political space with funny narratives to justify absurdities.

Unfortunately, most appointees from Kogi West are great examples of servile loyalty who would rather say what pleases the boss than the truth.

The same old song of 2015 about grabbing the Senate Presidency is being echoed but the discerning understand it is only a flight of fantasy. It can only be gobbled by the politically naive.

The desperation is disturbing but the truth will eventually be revealed and the people will once again show that power truly belongs to them.

Those who are utilizing state resources to foist plutocratic monarchy on the people will soon meet their Waterloo.

Dubious phantom achievements now flood the public space but in the days ahead, factual responses will trail every mischievous attempt to swindle the people again.

While the quest is for equity, transparency, justice and fairness some dickheads are preaching ranking and likelihood of Senate Presidency.

Those selling Sen. Smart Adeyemi should tell the people what is the new thing we should expect after we have tried and tested him and endured his colossal failure for 8 years as Senator.

It is a known fact that the Senator is a man under the curse of inconclusiveness as evident in his plethora of personal abandoned projects.

It’s obvious he cannot think of life outside politics and any individual with that kind of negative mindset of hopelessness is not worthy of the people’s votes. Trusting him with our mandate is an open invitation to another four years of wastefulness.

Can we afford another political pestilence again? Certainly not!
