Dr. Toyosi Akure-BAO, an aspirant for the House of Assembly under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Yagba West Constituency, has pledged to prioritise the welfare and empowerment of the people.
Akure, in a statement on Tuesday, assured the people of Yagba West Constituency of his commitment to improving their welfare and empowering the masses if elected.
According to him, many youths, women, and others in Yagba are not lazy but only require the necessary support and opportunities to thrive.
He noted that the people of Yagba deserve improved welfare, including access to good infrastructure and sustainable empowerment initiatives.
“I am ready to serve the people of Yagba West Constituency and provide what they truly deserve in terms of improved welfare and empowerment.
“We have hardworking youths, women, and men in Yagba West. They only need a little push to excel in their respective fields and careers.
“The welfare and empowerment of the people of Yagba West will be my utmost priority,” he said.
The founder of the Toyosi Akure Foundation and a renowned philanthropist also assured the public of his intention to drive development and deliver the dividends of democracy to Yagba West.
Dr. Akure work across Yagba West and Okun has continued to attract widespread public attention, as he has positively impacted many lives through various initiatives in healthcare, education, business empowerment, and support for the less privileged.
He has funded market stalls, organised free medical outreaches, repaired boreholes to provide water for rural communities, supported market women financially, rehabilitated community bridges, and awarded scholarships to students.
Known for his compassion, Dr. Akure has brought relief and hope to elderly women, widows, and many struggling families across Yagba land. He has consistently demonstrated his commitment to service even without holding public office, driven by goodwill, passion, and love for his people.
