Wada Youth Empowerment, Completion of Inherited Project Is Commendable – Jaiyeola Jasper

A Kogi State member of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Hon. Jaiyeola Awojuola Jaspa, has commended Governor Idris Wada administration’s intervention in agriculture and the introduction of free medical treatment across the state.

Awojuola who stated this in a chat with newsmen, disclosed that the appointment of a seasoned administrator, Professor Olugbemiro Jegede as the secretary to the state government, (SSG), and other key appointments made by the governor, shows his desire to transform the
state.

He said youths development programmes of Captain Idris Wada led administration in the last one and half years which has brought succour to the people, shows that the State is at the stage of transformation

According to him, the government intervention in agriculture and the introduction of free medical treatment across the 21 Local Government in the state has brought succour to the people and asked the governor to sustain the tempo.

While lauding the governor on the completion of projects initiated by his predecessor, he assured the governor that the youths would continue to support the programmes of the governor aimed at bringing accelerated development to the state.

“The completion of the projects initiated by the former administration by Captain Wada is commendable. On our own as youths we will continue to support any programme of government aimed at bringing relief to the people” he said.

Awojuola stressed “We the youths of Kogi state can boldly say that the transformation plans of Governor Wada in areas of youth empowerment, free healthcare, Agriculture, women empowerment and much more completion of inherited project is commendable”

He maintained that in view of the dwindling resource from the federation account, the state should evolve a more robust tax policy that would improve the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the
state.

He also commended the steps taken by the state government to prepare adequately for the impending flood, saying that the people must be saved from a repeat of the agony of last year flooding.
