It has come to my notice that Governor Wada has gone to the open market to incite and compromised some selfish Labour leaders in the state to embark on an indefinite strike due to the inability of the state to access the Federal Government Bailout funds.

I want to use this medium to remind the labour leaders the sins of Gov Wada for four years that has cripple lives at the local government level. This is a government that has been paying local government workers between 20% and 30% salaries for more than two years running and the state labour leaders did not deem it fit to embark on strike to call on the Governor to stop illegal deductions of local government funds and partner with NULGE whenever they embark on strike in the state for full payment of salaries.

Due to this corruption in the deductions of local government allocation, life expectancy at the local government has reduced drastically and the third tie of government in the state is none existing. Family members now bear the burden of taking care of relatives that deserve legitimate wages for their hard work.

I want to ask what has Gov.Wada done with allocations from federation account for the past four years? Why is the Governor interested in BAILOUT FUNDS when election is about 18days from now? Why has the governor refused to implement the Court of Appeal judgement reinstating the sacked Local Government Chairmen and Councilors that were unlawfully sacked by a lower court that he immediately implemented its decision?

I equally appeal to citizen of the state to vote out this non performing governor and support the change movement that is on a rescue mission to liberate our state from bad governance.

Lastly, I call on the Federal Government and the CBN to hold on to the Bailout Funds until after the next gubernatorial election in the state is concluded.

– Comrade Tosin Adeyanju Kakaki

Executive Director, Conscience Nigeria and a former House of Reps aspirant under PDP
