Wada Distributes Money, Clothes To Less Privileged As Hoodlums Hijack Bag

The Governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada has distributed money, clothing and food items to people living with disability in the state, this is part of his administration strategy to cater for the less privileged.

The Governor, who performed the ceremony in Lokoja the state capital, said his government will not stop to improve the lives of the less privilege person in the state in area of health, needs and employment.

The chairman of the disable who spoke in Hausa language appealed to the governor to assist them with police security in there zone, adding that they are experiencing  menace of robbers on daily basis and that this gifts may be stolen away that night.

While declaring the distribution open, Capt. Wada in his speech thanked them and urged them to remain law abiding citizens and never allow the privilege ones use them to create problems in the state, he assured them of government’s commitment to catering for the less privileged.

He noted also that this gesture will be a continuous one.

In the course of the distribution, some youths  snatched the bags of money and clothing from those distributing it while the police were there and the venue became rowdy with bulling and fighting.

One of the person living with disability thanked the governor for his kind gesture but reacted to the situation as bad.
