His Excellency, Captain Idris Ichala Wada, you can be accused of anything sir, but nobody will accuse you of being inhuman and out of content.

Your first term as Governor of Kogi state witnessed a lot of economic issues that you silently faced head-on trying to solve them. But must of us didn’t understand what you were doing as at the time. Today we know better

In the Area of security, we can confidently say you are one of the most peace loving Governor Kogi ever had. During your days, you clearly Showed that you arbor political thuggery and all forms of criminality. You demystified political thugs and rendered them worthless.

While you were Governor, Kogi went into the Presidential, National and State Assembly elections and no sound of gun was heard. A fly was not harmed, a bad was not killed just so anyone can acquire leadership position.

You allowed the people to exercise their rights and privileges without thumbing on it and there was Peace.

When in 2015, you recontested election to be Governor of the state for a second term, Kogites thought you were going to do “whatever it takes” to win. But you No!  You allowed the people make their decision without hurting a fly and transmitted power to the acclaimed  winner even though you didn’t contest election with him.

You took the issue of workers welfare very serious and communicated with them constantly on whatever challenges you had. That was leadership.

We are grateful that Kogi was not indebted that much during your days like  we are witnessing today. You made a lot of wise economic decisions and completed projects by your predecessor. That was leadership.

You introduced Technical Schools partnering with foreign countries to empower Kogi Citizens to be economically viable. That was leadership.

You were so refined that you refused to allow power intoxicate you in any form.

As critics, we had our freedom and walk the streets of Kogi State without fear of harm and intimidation from your government. You were never desperate for power and we thank you for creating an environment for us to walk freely during your days.

As you celebrate your birthday today, I wish you the very best this life have to offer Your Excellency who lived and reigned excellently.
