“Volleyball Has Improved in Kogi State” – Kayode Daniyan

Chairman of Kogi State Volleyball Association, Mr. Kayode Daniyan has disclosed that the game has witnessed a tremendous positive turn around in recent time calling on relevant stakeholders to support the association in its programmes.

Mr. Daniyan made this known while speaking with sports writers shortly after the association meeting in Lokoja.

He said Volleyball has always being a medal hopeful event for the state in the past but was later relegated to background thereby diminishing the commitment of players and officials towards the game.

The Jos-based business man maintained that his present board has been working towards making the court game attractive in the state, just as he called on government and corporate organization to support the association.

“Volleyball is a game for all, young ones, youths and adults play the game, here in Kogi State, we are trying our best as the state association to promote the game and encourage the players to be serious about it, begins Daniyan.

“We want to make it a reputable and medal winning game for Kogi State as it were, but we cannot do it alone, we need government and other organizations’ support to make Volleyball a more recognizable games in the state.
