If politics was to be measured, it is better to first of all understand the measures than to judge based on assumptions. As it is in Kogi State today, the new direction government is more concerned about the next generation than the next election and this has been the measure of our stewardship thus far.

Everybody is aware that overtime; political offices, board heads, appointments and employments were on the basis of long term rooting rather than credibility and pedigree. This no doubt is a major of what has kept Kogi far back where it is among  committee of states as instead of prioritizing service to the Kogi people, governance was taken as an elephant dinner and the share depends on your prospects of rigging, manipulating and deceiving power in subsequent election.

Based on the foregoing, the new direction came with a new order! An order for a turn, a turn for a relief and a relief for the common man. Egalitarianism has taken over the day and you don’t need political pedigree to be a part of the state stewardship. The channels are enormous and we are more than ever ready to serve. As a people, we owe the world as the debt of departing it better than we met it and this defines the ideals of the new direction.

The new direction under the watch of his excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is more than ever ready to work with anybody, groups or platforms whose ideals are in tandem with the dream of a great and prosperous Kogi State. Irrespective of ethnicity, state of origin, religion, ability and disability, our resolve is to make Kogi work and our resources shall know no bound.

Of course, this is the true definition and ideals of the Kogi State new direction. Don’t be a nay sayer when you can contribute quota, the time is never late to do what is right. Arise from your comfort zone and join hands with us to build a Kogi State that generations yet unborn shall be proud of.

No doubt, Kogi is rising in this new direction and we are getting it right by the day!
