In a profound shock, Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko has painfully mourned over the sudden and shocking demise of late Hon. Yahaya Ade Ismail, the immediate past Kogi State Commissioner for Special Duties.
The news of Hon. Ismail’s sudden departure which came as a rude shock on Monday evening after he was reportedly said to have slumped at a meeting in Lokoja has left a vacuum that will be very difficult to fill.
According to Olumoko, the commissioner’s death deeply cut as no one could anticipate that in the next 50years.
“I am not only deeply cut, am shocked and shattered. His demise is so sudden that I cannot imagine and explain”, Olumoko said.
Reflecting on political journey, Hon. Olumoko noted that the late commissioner has been staunchly loyal and dedicated. Describing him further, he said Hon. Adesayo Ismail has shown unwavering commitment and dedication to party activities.
He recalled his services at various duty assigned to him as been meritoriously and committedly done.
“He is loyal, undeterred and unassuming patriotic party man.
“Considering the transience of life and the unpredictable nature of destiny, it is important to note that the passing of Hon. Yahaya Ade Ismail serves as a moving reminder of these universal realities. “We mourn the departure of a man whose potential remains forever unrealized and who had so much more to offer,” as a close allies”, he said.
Olumoko, in a heartbeat tributes to late commissioner, who was from Ayiegunle Gbedde in Ijumu Local Government, said his compassion is contagious and warmth, noting that his capacity to light up the political space in terms of rallying point will be missed.
“Respected as a genuine son of Ijumu, Hon. Ismail was committed to the ideals of responsible leadership. His jovial spirit, quick wit, and genuine interest in connecting with others set him apart. His capacity to create enduring bonds with others was evidence of genius nature and disposition,” Olumoko said in his heartfelt remembrance of him.
In a strong and emotional mood, Olumoko sent his sincere sympathies to Hon. Ismail’s family, especially. In his mourning mood, wished that the precious memories shared with the late commissioner would provide solace in the trying time to the his family, friends and associates.
“I know his selfless efforts, his affection and support in the political space of Kogi state will continue to serve as support for the family and serve as motivation to all of us.”
Olumoko enjoined everyone to take solace in God Almighty, because only him knows why he allows this to happen at this time.
In a depressing mood, Olumoko said, “I am mostly hit by the demise of Hon. Adesayo. He has laboured very bountifully especially for the victory of APC in the last election. It a big blow losing him at the time needed most,” Olumoko said in tears.
He assured the late commissioner’s family of unalloyed support, adding that his labor will not be in vain. Pointing out that both the outgoing and incoming government will remember his efforts and commitment to democracy in Kogi State.
