Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan winner of the Kogi Central senatorial election.
In a statement on Thursday, Habiba applauded the decision of the Tribunal.
The PDP deputy governorship candidate said the restoration of Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan’s mandate is a victory for democracy and Nigeria women.
“In today’s Nigeria politics women are no more a push over. We are ready to take our rightful positions politically. Today’s Tribunal judgement has further shown that era of elections rigging is over,” she said
She added that, “the judges on the panel of the Tribunal must be commended for doing their job without fear or favour, noting that, the Judges were fearless in handling the election petition. This is victory for democracy and Nigeria women.“
The Tribunal Chairman, Justice K. A. Orjiako who read the unanimous judgment of the 3-man panel, said Ohere’s results were inflated in 9 polling units of Ajaokuta LGA while that of Natasha was intentionally reduced in the same 9 polling units.
