The member representing Idah Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives from Kogi State, Hon. David Idris Zacharias, has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, following Saturday’s tribunal’s verdict which affirmed their victory at the November 2019 governorship election in Kogi State.
Felicitating with the governor and his deputy, David Zacharias described the victory as best Edi-el-fitr gift to Kogi citizens who came out in their number to vote for the APC in the election.
The House of Representatives member further stated that Governor Bello deserved the victory that came his ways and the party, saying he never had any contrary belief that the governor was going to lose at the tribunal considering margin of win in the election.
Zacharias said: “Saturday’s judgment of the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal affirming your electoral victory as governor of Kogi State, has further demonstrated that your election was indeed, a true reflection of the wish of your people.
“The citizens are excited and I think this judgment is the best gift for the Edi-el-fitr celebration and a very remarkable way to celebrate the end of the Ramadan fast.
“I am happy by this development because I joined and witnessed the fact that you ran a clean, peaceful, issues-based campaign which saw the people voted for you in their number.
“You were, by far, the most popular among the governorship candidates, hence your election. You truly deserved your victory.
“This is now time to extend your hand of fellowship to the PDP candidate and others who contested against you and indeed, other stakeholders in the state. You must re-dedicate yourself to re-uniting the people and be the governor for all like you have shown in recent times.”
The lawmaker called on all his constituents to continually support the governor and the APC, adding that, they are better off with the APC, shown in various developmental and human oriented activities of the Bello led administration in the state.
