Members of the Ajobe community in Ankpa local government area of Kogi State have been called upon to engage their son, Hon. Hassan Omale, who is the representative representing their constituency. They were advised to write a letter requesting the implementation status of the project

The call was made when the Tracka Team held a town hall meeting with indigenes of Ajobe Community in Ankpa LGA in Kogi state on the 2nd December, for the N103m drainage project captured in 2016 and 2017 FG Budget for N60m and N43m respectively.

Tracka, a project by BudgIT, enables people collaborate, track and give feedback on public projects in their community.

Ajobe community is the hometown of Hon Hassan Omale, a serving House of representative representing Ankpa/Olamaboro Federal Constituency. Members of the community expressed displeasure over the state of infrastructure in their community.

A community member said: “we were living happily in our community before they awarded the road and drainage project. They have worsened the whole thing now. There is a high case of Malaria infection during the raining season due to poor drainage construction carried out in our area”

The Tracka team moved around the community to inspect the drainage construction work carried out in 2016 for N60m. It was discovered that despite the N60m allocated for the project there was a poor implementation work done on the site.
