Members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in Kogi State were yesterday thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Thisday Correspondent, Mr. Timothy Ajiboye.

Ajiboye died after a brief illness on Sunday around 8:30 p.m.

The late journalist has worked in various national dailies including The Guardian before joining Thisday early this year as state correspondent.

He was one-time Secretary of the Correspondent chapel in Kogi State.

Chairman of Correspondents’ Chapel in the state, Mallam Ademu Idakwo described his death as shocking and unbelievable.

He said the late journalist was a peace-loving man who had been living in peace with the entire members of the chapel.

Idakwo said God who called him at this prime age would provide succour for his family, his friends and those he left behind.
