A former chairman of Kogi Local Government, Honourable Shaba Ibrahim has decamped from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Labour Party (LP) to actualize his ambition to represent his people in the House of Representatives.

Shaba, who until recently was Special Adviser on Multilateral Cooperation to Kogi State Governor Idris Wada, made his switch known at a formal declaration in Koton-Karfe on Sunday.

With this development, Shaba will go head-to-head with PDP candidate, Dr Shehu Idris and incumbent Buba Jibril of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the race to represent Lokoja-Kogi(Koto) Federal Constituency.

Buba is a familar foe to Shaba as they both faced each other during the last 2011 elections. Shaba will be hoping for a better outing come February 2015.
