I will like to sympathise with the good people of Ankpa, and by extension Kogi state, over the unfortunate accident that occurred on the 28th of September, 2022 at a bridge in Alor, on the Ankpa – Otukpo road leading to the untimely death of countless innocent citizens of our dear country.
It is worthy of note that the very portion where this unfortunate incidence occurred has a long history of accidents owing to the poor design of that road to take care of topography of that area.
At this point, I like to suggest and appeal to the relevant authorities to as a matter of urgency award contract for the reconstruction of the road to take care of its faulty engineering design. I believe that the redesign of that road will to a large extent avert this kind of avoidable incidences constantly been witnessed on that corridor.
